This is not another picture downloaded from Google. This picture was snapped by myself just right after a “dispute” which I had with the lady in this picture. This is a very common sight faced not just by me but by majority of my fellow Private Hire drivers. As for this picture, this is how the story goes.
The lady, a Chinese PRC, had booked for a GRABCAR trip from Yishun to Orchard. She was almost 10 minutes late before she finally appeared near my car. She offered no apology for being late. To add on to my frustration, she turned up with the 2 kids as seen in the picture.
As usual, I had to inform her that I’m unable to proceed with the trip and she had to cancel and re-book under GRABFAMILY. As expected, she started arguing and replied that since I wasn’t willing to carry on with the trip, I had to cancel on my side. I wasted no time and took my phone to call Grab to complain, hoping to get some help and while I was doing so, the lady just walked away. Feeling extremely pissed off, I simply ended my call to Grab, took a picture of this lady walking off with her kids, canceled the trip from my end.
Luckily, this was my first time using the 1 out of 3 PASSENGER NO SHOW : RATES NOT AFFECTED function in the cancellation mode. Within seconds, I managed to get another trip request at the neighbouring block. Dear parents, we can do this again and again. I’m sick and tired of complaining.
Whatever I feel and wish to tell you is stated in this picture. I hope that this will stir up your senses and encourage you to be a more responsible parent. More than this I have nothing to say.
