Indeed, the netizens (and your team of course) are right. It was indeed a staged video, all aimed at promoting the Word Gangster Buckets during the Geylang Bazaar this month of Ramadan.

The storyboard revolved around the two gangsters approaching the guys to find “three gangsters” last known to be at Geylang. There are direct referencing in the conversations to the three drinks, the names of the drinks as well as the location to get them (Geylang).

They are the three popular flavours that WORD. serves at their Thomson Road branch, Mango Tango (green), WORD. Concoction (blue) and Orange Cream Soda (orange). They are renamed
to fit the campaign concept for the bazaar.
