A viral video was uploaded on facebook of person’s tattoo got infected and eventually went from just leaking pus to growing into multiple abscess. The video has been shared over 23,000 times on Facebook.
Netizens were not happy on how the abscess was treated and started had a “rain” of sarcastic comments
“why the fuck do people think it’s ok to perform home surgery with bare dirty hands using a f**king toenail clipper??? clearly needs to be handle by a doctor and treated with antibiotics afterwards … never ceases to amaze me when I see this Sh*t”
It is uncleared if the person in the video recovered from the video. But one thing is for certain, always pick a reputable tattoo shop. It doesn’t mean that your in Singapore your 100% safe.
According to MOH:
Tattooing procedures carry the risk of transmitting infectious diseases, like HIV, hepatitis B and C. However, if sterilised or disposable needles are used and proper infection control measures are followed, the risk of infection is very small.
