Malaysia ISPs has blocked the whole of steam based on 1 game. The game titled Fight of Gods, is based on religious figures of all kind fighting each other in the style of a 2D system (e.g. Street Fighter).

The reasoning of the ban is because they do not want to harm any religious feelings. The game characters include prominent figures from religions such as Christianity, Buddhism, Paganism, Judaism, and Hinduism. The latest characters included in the game are known to be Gautama Buddha and Jesus.

Currently, the Malaysian officials have communicated with the game developer, PQube Games regarding the block. This is not the first time Malaysia has blocked video games. In 2013, a member of parliament has called for a ban on Grand Theft Auto V.
