Don’t be surprised if you see people running in firefighting gear around Punggol this Saturday! Race 4 Responders (R4R) is back once again, with emergency responders from SCDF and their overseas counterparts running a 5km route through Punggol Waterway Park.
R4R commemorates the noble lifesaving mission of emergency responders around the globe as well as promotes fitness and nurtures camaraderie among them. Around 400 participants, including those from 14 overseas fire and rescue organisations, are taking part in R4R.
This year, R4R is partnering with Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore) to raise awareness of individuals diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, a genetic muscular disease.
So if you see these emergency responders racing through the park, give your biggest wave and show your support!
