A new parliamentary bill will raise the legal smoking age from 18 to 21 if it goes through parliament.

According to the bill, people who own imitation tobacco products like e-cigarettes will also face fines.

It is currently against the law to import, distribute, sell or offer to sell such products. Those who do so may face up to $2,000 in fines.
